Apartment in Jerusalem
Waht's th Story
In 2006 I started working in real estate in Jerusalem. That’s where I met Neal and Miriam, a Jewish-American couple. They were looking for a vacation flat in the Holy Cit . They told me precisely what they were looking for: a refurbished apartment, with a balcony, and definitely not on the ground floor. We did an intensive search in the city, but Neal and Miriam could not connect to any flat. Just before they returned to the US, I told them I found a flat in their preferred area, without providing any more details. Because they trusted me, they agreed to go see it. We arrived at the building entrance. As Neal and Miriam began climbing the stairs, I directed them to a flat on the ground floor. This wasn’t just any ground-floor flat. It was filled with light, had a high ceiling and was refurbished to a very high standard. Despite being on the ground floor and having no balcony, Miriam and Neal were smitten. it was love at first sight. They left me with their Power of Attorney and bought the flat.
Real Estate Tip
Sometimes, it’s difficult for people to leave their comfort zone; they create rigid limitations for themselves. When I listen to my clients and understand what is really important to them (light and location, for Neal and Miriam), it is possible to find the appropriate flat, even if the price is slightly higher than they had planned.
In Neil & Miriam words
“Dear Ran,
We want to thank you for being such a wonderful person to work with during our recent search for an apartment in Jerusalem. You were kind, patient and listened carefully to us. We so appreciate that you worked with our very time limited schedule to show us everything possible. You did everything with a smile and warmth! B’ezrat Hashem all will go smoothly with our acquisition of the apartment. We understand you received your fee and just wanted you to know how fortunate we feel to have found you and worked with you. We would happily recommend you to anyone.
Wishing you a wonderful week
Miriam, Neil (and baby Elisheva!) Kowall”
